Mr. Osafo-Affum has 25 years’ post-qualification experience in hydrogeology. He holds a BSc. Geological Engineering certificate from KNUST, Kumasi and a MSc. Groundwater Resource Development from the University of Ghana, Legon. He is also a Member, Ghana Institute of Geoscientists.

Mr. Osafo-Affum is an astute hydrogeologist whose professional experiences span from field projects such as Groundwater Modelling, Geophysical/Hydrogeological Investigations, Drilling Management and Supervision, Borehole Logging, Aquifer Yield Testing, Hydrofracturing Supervision, Contract Administration and Management.

Mr. Osafo-Affum also took up Individual assignments in his line of duty which include the provision of hydrogeological information to water supply agencies, consulting firms and NGOs; provision of technical assistance to District/Municipal Assemblies in the planning and execution of groundwater related activities; rural water supply employing boreholes fitted with handpumps and groundwater development for multi-purpose water supply to public and private sector clients.

Mr. Osafo-Affum is currently the substantive Regional Director, Community Water and Sanitation Agency, Western North Region.

He has worked on more than five major projects in Ghana as a hydrogeologist for Unihydro Ltd. Clients include Volta Region Community Water and Sanitation Programme/DANIDA, Eastern Region Community Water and Sanitation Programme/DANIDA, IGIP/Watertech, Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development, International Development Association IDA/WORLD BANK, CWSA, R.I.C.U/Village Infrastructure Project.
