
ING. DR. WORLANYO KWADJO SIABI (MV) is a member and Fellow of the Ghana Institution of Engineering (GhIE). He graduated from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi in 1992 as a Civil Engineer. He started his engineering career at Ghana Water and Sewerage Corporation in August 1992, and later joined Community Water and Sanitation Agency (CWSA) in 1996. He continued his education at KNUST and was awarded MSc Water Supply and Environmental Sanitation in 2003. He also enrolled at the University of Cape Coast Business School and was awarded MBA in Management in 2013.
ING. DR. WORLANYO KWADJO SIABI (MV) practiced engineering over a 30-year period within the Public Service and has been involved in the implementation of several Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) projects across Ghana, financed by the World Bank, UNICEF, KfW, DANIDA and other development partners.
In 2015, the State (Ghana) awarded him “Member of the Order of the Volta”, the highest National Honor in the Public Service, for his contributions to Ghana’s development. His research in water treatment won two international awards, including an African Union award, and Gold award at the President’s Excellence National Awards in 2006.
ING. DR. WORLANYO KWADJO SIABI (MV) entered a PhD programme at KNUST with focus on water treatment, as a result of the challenges he observed within his working career in the water industry. He was awarded PhD in Water Treatment by KNUST in 2021.
In 2017, ING. DR. WORLANYO KWADJO SIABI (MV) led reforms in the Water and Sanitation Sub-sector in Ghana, which resulted in the sustainability of water delivery services in 177 small towns, increased the staff level of CWSA from 196 in year 2017 to 1462 in year 2022. He plays governance roles within the governing boards of 5 Institutions, including WRI of CSIR, and the Regional Water & Environmental Sanitation Centre Kumasi (RWESCK) of KNUST.
ING. DR. WORLANYO KWADJO SIABI (MV) is currently the Chief Executive Officer of the Community Water and Sanitation Agency in Ghana.
