He has diverse experiences in various professional fields.  He worked in Boulder, Colorado, USA as a banker.  In the 70s he moved back to Ghana and worked for A-Lang, a construction firm, where he was the Commercial Manager. He later started various entrepreneurial ventures one of which is Dumakwae Ltd, which focuses on the building and construction sector.   He owns Dumakwae Investments Ltd a holding company based in Ghana.

Throughout the years, he has served on several Boards such as the: Swift Plumbing and Mechanical Services Limited, Ghana Baseball And Softball Association (Chief Patron), Child Help Foundation, Ghana Cylinder Manufacturing Company, Busia Foundation, Panbros Salt Industries Limited, Progeny Aluminum Design And Construction Limited (Director), Nexus Metals and Ceiling Limited. He also served as the Chairman of the Board for Global Access Company where he was instrumental in converting the company into Global Access Savings and Loans Company.

Mr. Kwesi Eduafo Yankey is the immediate past Chairman of the University of Ghana Alumni Association, where he facilitated philanthropic work to support health, scholarships and education, enhanced engagements between students, administrators and lecturers.  He was also a Member of the University of Ghana Council as well as the Council for the University of Ghana Business School.

Currently he is the Board Chairman for Community Water and Sanitation Agency(CWSA), C.E.O of Dumakwae Investment Ltd, Board Chairman of SUNU Assurance Limited – Ghana, Chairman of Zeepay Ghana, Chairman of KooKey Courier Services, Chairman for Eire Contractors West Africa, Chairman of First Gear and Mining Company Ltd, Director of Omni Quarries, Director of Sao Capital Limited, Director of Security Exchange Commission, Managing Director for Barrett Farms, a Member on the Advisory Board of the School of Biological and Allied Health Sciences, and  a Member of the Board of Trustees of the International Paediatric Cancer Center.

He has four children. He is an avid reader, philanthropist, sports enthusiast and a social justice advocate.
